what is the biggest movie flop ever?
the biggest i have been able to find was adventures of pluto nash which cost 90 million and only made 4.4 in its entire run.
I’m not sure if it was the biggest but people certainly thought it was the biggest for a long time.
Ishtar (1987)
* Despite the film’s reputation as one of the biggest box office failures of all time, Ishtar did, in fact, hold the #1 box office position in its first week of release. However, in its second week, with the release of Beverly Hills Cop II (1987), the film quickly dropped to fourth place.
* Writer/director Elaine May worked on the editing for months, and she only turned in a print of the film when the studio threatened legal action.
* Stars Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty were each paid $5 million, a sum that was considered impressive at that time.
* The film’s budget was $55 million; it bombed at the box office, making only $12.7 million, a loss of over $42 million.

Haha that was the movie I was going to say. Eddie Murphey’s newest movie Meet Dave hasn’t made very much money either, but more than he did in The Adventures Of Pluto Nash.

Pluto Nash grossed 7.1 million worldwide with a budget of 100 million.
Waterworld made a profit. Its budget was 175 million and it grossed 264 million worldwide.
Heaven’s Gate had a budget of 44 million and grossed 3.4 million.
Ishtar grossed 14.3 million worldwide.
I have reserched this question and there is no definitive answer. There are so many films that have lost millions it’s too close to call.

Plot: This biopic television miniseries features Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as the King of Rock-n-roll, the story traces all his life from the very boyhood in 1950’s Memphis to the pinnacles of his worldwide glory and the depths of isolation and drug addiction of his life’s end.
This doesn’t mean that it definitely wasn’t in an Elvis Presley movie, but IMDb is usually pretty reliable.

Old Shep
Words & Music by Red Foley
When I was a lad
And old Shep was a pup
Over hills and meadows we’d stray
Just a boy and his dog
We were both full of fun
We grew up together that way
I remember the time at the old swimmin’ hold
When I would have drowned beyond doubt
But old Shep was right there
To the rescue he came
He jumped in and then pulled me out
As the years fast did roll
Old Shep he grew old
His eyes were fast growing dim
And one day the doctor looked at me and said
I can do no more for him Jim
With hands that were trembling
I picked up my gun
And aimed it at Shep’s faithful head
I just couldn’t do it
I wanted to run
I wish they would shoot me instead
He came to my side
And looked up at me
And laid his old head on my knee
I had struck the best friend that a man ever had
I cried so I scarcely could see
Old Shep he has gone
Where the good doggies go
And no more with old Shep will I roam
But if dogs have a heaven
There’s one thing I know
Old Shep has a wonderful home
